Nestled on the second floor of a historic building in Geneva, L’Appartement offers an intimate setting for artistic collaborative initiatives, curated by Thea Montauti d’Harcourt Lyginos. Our approach involves inviting artists, international galleries, independent curators, auction houses and collectors to showcase their works within our space. The curator aims to share her passion for the arts and her discerning artistic sensibilities. Her goal is to make art more accessible, offering a fresh and invigorating approach to the art gallery experience. Going beyond the traditional role of an art gallery, L’Appartement seeks to build connections between the art industry and other sectors, thus expanding the influence of art on diverse audiences. Our overarching ambition is to cultivate a dynamic community that engages both seasoned collectors and younger generations, while revitalising the Geneva art scene.

Exposition
INABITED, une exposition collective rassemblant les œuvres de onze artistes brésiliens actifs tout au long du XXe et XXIe siècles, retraçant un ensemble de préoccupations communes qui traversent le temps : la relation entre la forme et la croyance, la matière et la mémoire, l’abstraction et l’expérience vécue. L’idée centrale de l’exposition est que la forme n’est jamais neutre dans le contexte brésilien. Elle est toujours habitée par quelque chose d’invisible : un système de croyances, une mémoire, une expérience vécue. À travers la peinture, la sculpture et l’assemblage, la forme, dans le contexte brésilien, fonctionne comme un vecteur de sens — façonnée par les religions afro-brésiliennes, les cosmologies autochtones et l’expérience quotidienne. Elle devient un lieu où les dimensions matérielles et immatérielles se croisent, où le visible renferme en son sein des systèmes de croyances, de rituels et de mémoire.
